A Cosmic Carnival?

Have you ever wondered why God created the world? We do know—scriptures have indicated it, and now it is confirmed by modern science—that this present universe is not eternal but, rather, came into being a definite period of time ago. This means that some pre-existing Being or Power brought the present Universe into being, and it is this Being or Power that we call 'God'. Now, it stands to reason that God, the One who brought this Universe into being, must have done so for one (or more) definite purpose. What, have you ever wondered, might that purpose be?
It is fun to ponder on that question though the fact is that we can’t ever come to know the reason why God created this universe using our own reasoning. It is only if God tells us His purpose in creating the Universe that we can come to know it. Even so, we can still have fun speculating what that purpose might have been.
Do you think it is possible that God created this Universe simply in order to amuse Himself? Might the Universe thus be God’s ‘amusement park’, where He manifests things, beings and processes of an infinite variety simply to have His sort of fun? Do you think God has been in the business of creating universes after universes—His own ‘amusement parks’ as it were—since eternity past, perhaps even creating an infinite number of new Universes all at the same time, at every moment?
All that is entirely possible, although of course we aren’t able to know for sure!
