A Good Question to Ask!

A good measure of the worth of a lifetime spent on Earth is the contribution it has made to what can be called ‘the stock of goodness’ in the world. The same can be said of the worth of our use of each day, or even each hour, that we get to spend on this planet.

What value-addition, through our actions and through our very being, did our one hour, or our one day, or our lifetime here as a whole make in terms of the overall ‘stock of goodness’ in the world? Did we simply pass this time—an hour, a day, or an entire lifetime—passively consuming Earth’s resources in mere self-indulgence? Or, while using Earth’s bounties to meet our needs, did we also contribute anything of true value to the Co-Creation, or the world at large, even in small ways?

This is a good question to ask ourselves at the end of an hour, a day and even an entire lifetime: What, if any, positive difference to the world did we make through our presence here in this span of time that we were given?
