A Reason Greater More

We aren’t here for no reason or rhyme,
Simply to pass some allotted time.
There must, I think, be a purpose grand,
That we now only faintly understand,
Else, I can’t see any good reason why
We take birth here, live, and then die.
There ought to be, I feel I’m sure,
A reason that’s greater much more,
Making our stay here for the time lent
More than chance or a mere accident.
