If This We Know

You’ll do what You like in any case,

So, it’s best we accept it with grace,

At peace we can be if this we know:

That all events You cause to be so.

If what occurs we know is Your decree,

From all worrying it may set us free,

And then we can say, being firmly sure,

That this life’s worth all that we endure.
