Maybe It’s So (I Hope I’m Not Wrong!)

Maybe it’s so (I hope I’m not wrong!),
That You’ve been Sole Doer all along,
That all deeds that so far’ve been done,
The doer of them all has been just one,
This one doer being none other than You.
Now, do please tell me if this is true,
That all deeds that we seem to enact
Are all actually done by You in fact,
Through myriad forms that You assume
(Merely to amuse Yourself, I presume),
But that this being so we don’t realise,
Except for some people You make wise,
Who then seek to convey to others this:
“All deeds that get done are simply His,
For He is the one, sole existent Being,
Know this by clearing your way of seeing.
If Existence is Him in garbs most diverse,
He Himself appearing as the vast universe,
Then all deeds done there, whose could they be?
Surely, their sole doer must simply be He.”
Postscript:
If You aren’t Sole Doer, I insist You be,
Will You not do this one thing for me?
But why this favour of You should I ask
When intuitively I feel that every task,
Every deed that’s done, big or small,
It's You who's Sole Doer of them all.
God's the only doer, well written. Good poem.
