No Greater Blessing

“I am with you”: this You assure,

What, then, can I ask for more?

It’s all I need to willingly carry on

With this my long earthly sojourn.

Reason enough these words give

To want here to continue to live.

If with me You are, this I know,

Anywhere I’d be happy to go,

Maybe to be sent even to Hell

If these words to me You tell.

What greater blessing can there be

Than to know that You are with me?
