Now That You’ve Come Back To Me

Now that You’ve come back to me

Why should I roam about foolishly,

Myself simply to entertain,

What’ll I get? What’ll I gain?

Passing time that seems heavy,

Going here and there aimlessly,

Wasting money, and time, too:

Have I nothing better to do?

I've, of course, ever since You returned

And life’s big lesson I thereby learned,

That it’s only Your being with me

That the sole solution can ever be,

The one panacea for every woe.

At last I found this to be truly so!

And, because of this to myself I say:

“Rejoice that He’s returned to you,

There’s nothing now you need to do,

Nowhere that you now need to go,

And this be sure that you well know,

That you’re now where you needed to be,

In His warm embrace, ah what felicity!

He’s rebuilt His home in your heart,

And don’t again make Him depart.

Now that He’s returned in you to dwell

You can rest assured that all is well.”
