Oh What Foolishness They Expound!

Oh what foolishness they expound

While claiming to be most profound!

Oh the falsehoods that they spout

While posing to be so very devout!

Reason’s clear guidance they reject,

And from us blind belief they expect.

Hell’s threat at us they rudely hurl,

While Heaven’s banner they unfurl,

Saying if we believe with faith firm

To the many tales that they affirm,

We’ll enjoy Heaven’s non-stop bliss,

Else, this joy we’ll be forced to miss,

And to Hell, instead, we will head

When, they say, God judges the dead.

Oh what madness on Earth abounds

That in faith’s name furiously resounds!
