What But Madness Can This One Call?

Their creed is sheer, total hate

That simply refuses to dissipate.

They live, or so it seems to me,

To be as hateful as they can be.

Delighting in hating is their state.

See them ruining their own fate!

The fools just don’t care to know

That this is really, very truly so,

Wasting this their precious life

In fomenting hate and awful strife,

Foolishly seeing things in reverse,

So, hailing as good what’s perverse.

What but madness can this one call,

Or pure evil that holds them in thrall?
