My past I now hand over to You,
My present as well, my future, too.
From beginningless before to endless will be,
You please take it all from me.
Why should I this yoke bear
When to do it You are there?
I don't need this load to undertake
When You’ll do it all for my sake.
To carry this cross I won’t dare,
You’ll take it on, so much You care.
You brought us here, so maybe it’s right
This burden You assume or make light.
Only a fool would say this to You:
“I’ll bear this burden, I really want to.
Thanks, but Your kind offer I’ll decline,
This burden I’ll carry, for it’s all mine.”
