Is This All Just a Tale You’ve Penned?

Is this all just a tale You’ve penned,

That has no beginning and no end,

In which all events in the cosmos vast,

At present, in future and in the past,

And beings and objects that appear

Are Your thought-creations mere,

All components of a great dream

Unfolding from Your mind-stream,

Which by mere thinking You project,

Though this being so we don’t detect,

For in our ignorance we firmly believe

That things are just as we perceive,

Thinking that all that we can see

Is truly as it appears to us to be,

As being real in an absolute way

(Not knowing it’s Your mind at play),

And the reason for this being so

Is that this ‘secret’ we don’t know,

That it’s all part of a grand tale

Penned by You Yourself to regale?
