What Need for a Creed?

They asked me to which creed I adhere,

I answered, saying, “To none, my dear.

God’s in my heart, I found Him there,

So, for any creed why should I care?”

“If God’s in my heart”, to them I told,

“What need have I a creed to uphold?”
