Lessons From and For Life

·       In giving in charity, be careful to respect the dignity of the recipient. Also, know that they are benefitting you by giving you an opportunity for doing good.

·       Reflect on your own day-to-day experiences to grow in the art of living.

·       As soon as possible, thank a person for a favour received.

·       If a home or school ignores the task of the ethical nurturing of a child, it has turned into a damaging place.

·       How easily we sometimes forget our own ‘good’ manners!

·       We are here to make a life, not just to make money.

·       Making money is a means. Leading a life is the end.

·       If we spend listening to God speaking to us even a small portion of the time we spend listening to our phone, how different our life might have been!

·       Talking less means lesser possibility of uttering a falsehood, even if inadvertently.

·       All beings breathe; breath unifies them; and, breath is from and of God.

·       Share with others the wisdom, including life-lessons, you have learnt through your own experiences.

·       Lighten someone’s burden if you can.

·       To be without as one is within—that is radical honesty and is such a relief!

·       There is always at least one thing new and good we can learn from someone.

·       Talk more with the Lord more and less on your phone.

·       Lock your tongue with your lips when you don’t need to use it.

·       Every interaction brings with it the possibility of pain, and also of joy.

·       If you put someone down, be ready to experience the same happen to you.

·       This life is a rare opportunity. Make best use of its every moment. Ask God to ensure that you do so.

·       Nothing can quite take the place of a smile from the heart on someone’s face.

·       If someone hurts you, try to bring to mind something they might have done in the past that brought you joy.

·       God’s universe is constantly expanding physically. Are we also constantly expanding, in terms of consciousness?

·       Sometimes, talking with people can be like walking on eggshells.

·       Release all resentments latest by the end of the day.

·       Be quick to ask for forgiveness and also to forgive.

·       Human relations are very fragile, like crystal.

·       If you want to be blessed, be a blessing to others.

·       All beings want to be happy. God has made them this way.

·       Our stay here is short. May it also be sweet.

·       Since we are human beings, we will keep making mistakes. And so, we will need to keep forgiving, and also keep asking for forgiveness, till the very end of our stay here.

·       Each event holds at least one lesson we can gain from if we care to find it.
