Let’s Do Nothing at All!

Our task’s not to do but to let doing to be done,

Know that other than Him a doer there is none.

Drop the delusion of doing, let's try if we can,

It’s He who does all deeds, all as per His plan.

How, you may ask, can this all be truly so?

The answer simply is, “This we must know

That He’s the only Being, all that exists is He,

Including every being and thing we can see,

And so, the deeds we think are all our own,

It’s He who does them all, He Himself alone.”

What I say here some might find quite bizarre,

But we aren’t each a doer that we think we are,

It’s a mere illusion, to which we firmly adhere.

It's He appearing in the form of all beings here,

So, all the actions they themselves seem to do,

Are done by Him, not by a separate me or you.

So, all we need to do is to permit or fully allow,

Him to do through us all that He’ll do anyhow.

Or, put in other words, this plainly one can say,

“Let’s do nothing at all, let Him have His way.”
