Poetic Reflections: How Nice The World Might Be…

How nice the world might be

If every now and then

Things would turn upside down.

If we would wear our shirts as our pants

And our pants as our shirts;

If we would walk on our heads

And eat with our feet;

If we’d comb our hair with our toothbrushes

And brush our teeth with our combs;

If horses would ride on human backs

And make men trot or gallop as they pleased;

If servants would order and masters would serve

And if ‘he’ would be called she, and she, ‘he’.

If word spellings would be reversed,

With the sun being called ‘nus’ and the moon ‘noom’

And ‘G-O-D’ spelt as ‘D-O-G’, and vice versa

(Both being but the one and the same ‘Man’s Best Friend’)!

Very touching, and a great food for thought
