Stop Being to Others Such a Big Pest!

They said to me, in manner bold,

These words that turned me cold:

“Do as we say if you want to be saved,

All other paths are false and depraved.

The things we proclaim, you must believe,

Beware of the Devil, who’s out to deceive.

Refuse all his whisperings in your ear,

Shoo him away, don’t let him come near.

Deceived by him, if you reject what we say,

Know that to Hell you'll pave your way.”

To these foolish people I boldly said:

“What rubbish it is that you've been fed!

This talk of ‘being saved’, of a ‘Devil’ as well,

And of being hurled into the fires of Hell!

I refuse to believe the tales you uphold,

I won’t accept this what you have told.

Find something better to do, I'd suggest,

And stop being to others such a big pest!
