Today’s Things to Do!

In the morning as you get out of bed

The thought whirls about in your head:

“What all things have I today to do?”

Well, you’ll do just what you have to.

We each get our day’s work assigned

By the One All-Pervasive Cosmic Mind,

Who appears as all beings under the sun,

Through them It gets its day’s work done.

As countless actors seemingly separate

The Cosmic Mind does daily operate.

So, what you think it’s we who enact

Is the Cosmic Mind at work in fact.

As electrons It spins, as whole galaxies, too.

Alone all deeds It does, even as me and you.

This all's merely the Cosmic Mind at play,

Doing just as It wills all through the day,

Always busy at work, and yet in full rest,

Doing and not-doing, both with great zest.
