What Confusion These Creeds Have Caused!

What confusion these creeds have caused,

And hate and wars that haven’t yet paused,

Each declaring they are by You revealed,

Your final word, that’s most firmly sealed,

For ever more, and for all humankind,

As if Your will is only therein confined.

The rest, they claim, are ways to Hell,

Yes, this is what they so foolishly tell!

And this being so, it’s no big surprise

That because of their plentiful lies,

Your world by hate and war is torn,

What a dreadful fate it is to mourn!

All this won’t change until they decide

To set their most foolish creeds aside.

It’s time for this big task to undertake,

For the wellbeing of all Earth's sake,

For otherwise, Your world might face

The very extinction of the human race.
