Where Were We Before Coming Here?

Where were we before coming here,

In bodily form being made to appear?

I really can’t tell, for I just don’t know,

But perhaps everywhere, literally so,

As the One, who alone’s everywhere,

Who babies became for wombs to bear,

Manifesting thus in all beings’ case,

With all objects, too, in all vast space.
