With Those Years What Did I Do?

All the many years that went,
How quickly they were spent,
So swiftly they just rushed by,
Now few remain before I die,
Or, as is said, this body I drop
And this lifetime comes to a stop.
With those years what did I do?
You know best, for it was You
Who did through me throughout,
Yes, You, not me, without a doubt,
Deeds various that You did prefer,
Through me You caused to occur.
Though all it was You who’d done,
This secret’s known to almost none!
