This All Must Fade!

You think all Earth is your ‘resource’,

And it's for you to dictate its course,

As if the whole world belongs to you,

And you can do with it as you want to,

As if all its affairs it's for you to dictate,

And it's you alone who decides its fate.

Ah, see how pompously you parade,

But all such dreams must finally fade,

And so will you, for the day'll arrive

When no more will you be here alive,

On Earth that you claim is your realm,

For death must rush in to overwhelm,

Then no more can you foolishly pretend

To be Earth’s King, oh what an awful end!

We’ll reap what we here sow, and hence,

You’re sure to face the stern consequence

Of this your foolishness that’s so perverse,

For a just judge is the Lord of the universe.
