Give Me Enough Good Things To Do

Surely, I’m here not to merely survive,

But to live fully, flourish, truly thrive,

Not simply here for just a while to be,

But for a purpose much more worthy.

So, give me enough good things to do

To fully justify my being here to You.

Send enough opportunities my way

To make meaningful my every day,

So that when each day starts to end

And as I reflect on how I did spend

The time You gave that day to me,

Happy, content and at peace I’ll be,

Knowing that, all done and said,

One more day fairly well I led,

And when my stay here nears its end,

Arriving at death’s oncoming bend,

I can, with confidence, to myself say

That the days here You sent my way

Were not a waste, squandered in vain,

This my brief sojourn on earthly plane,

And not just this, but that also, too,

I did with my time the best I could do.
