See Through Their False Claims!

Ah! How they speak with such authority,

Seeking to obtain our full conformity,

As if they are God’s special appointee

To lord it over us—over you and me.

Their power they get from books they’ve read

Penned by folks who are now long since dead,

And which they regard as God’s very Word,

A claim they make that’s just most absurd.

These books all it’s mere men who wrote,

This fact is clear, this one can easily note,

For, on grounds of logic, and ethics as well,

They often miserably fail, one can easily tell.

This clearly shows that it just cannot be

That they’re from God, as they tell you and me.

This being the case, there’s just no need

For you and me to pay them any heed.

Don’t believe their talk and fall for their lies,

They’re grossly deluded, this you must realize.

For God’s guidance, within yourself please turn,

And there His voice you'll be able to discern.

We can hear God speak to us in this simple way,

Don’t do as they tell, or else you’ll be led astray.

Leave them and their books, this I say to you,

And connect with God directly—it's so easy to do!
