Who Can Fathom Your Ways?

You made me go through Hell, but why, You didn’t tell,

Now, however, You’re making me learn the reason well.

You do things Your way, Your reasons You may conceal,

Sometimes, in Your grace, to some this You may reveal.

If You don’t tell us the reasons why You act Your way,

What can we know of them, and what at all can we say?

Who can fathom Your ways, why things You do decree?

If You don’t choose to tell us this, it’ll remain a mystery.
